Litter Prevention

A beautiful community is one without litter, a goal KLRB believes we can realize when we all work together.

We sponsor many community litter and trash clean-ups, working with neighborhood groups, volunteers, and sponsors to protect our environment and improve the quality of life for everyone in Little Rock.

Recycling

Keep Little Rock Beautiful works in partnership with the City of Little Rock Sustainability Office, Solid Waste Services, Little Rock Recycles, commercial waste haulers, and members of the community to find ways to expand recycling, and we continue to advocate for more effective recycling programs and policies in Little Rock.

It is part of what we do through our commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment and improved quality of life for present and future Little Rock residents and visitors.

Beautification

Green landscapes, sustainable plantings, sculpture gardens, and an absence of litter are making Little Rock a beautiful city to behold.

Public Awareness

One of the aims of Keep Little Rock Beautiful is to promote public awareness and understanding of the effects of litter on our environment, economy, and the quality of  life in Little Rock.

We continuously look for ways to contribute to education and information sharing that increases awareness of recycling, litter prevention, and environmental conservation.

Come join us for the Great Arkansas Cleanup.. Keep Little Rock Beautiful will be hosting our cleanup in Murray Park and along the shoreline of the Arkansas River on Saturday Morning, October 17, a week later than originally scheduled.

The Cleanup will start at 9:00 and go until noon. We will provide trash bags and disposable gloves. We will also have some loaner “litter grabbers” available. But encourage you to bring your own if you have them. Volunteer T-shirts will be available, while supplies last.

We will be implementing Keep America Beautiful’s COVID19 Safety Guidelines during the cleanup. Pre-registration of volunteers is required, face coverings will be required during check-in and check-out and when unable to maintain physical distancing during the cleanup.

No snacks or beverages will be provided, so bring your own reusable beverage bottle and munchies.

Boat owners are encouraged to bring you water craft to clean up litter along the shoreline.

We will be set up in our blue tent on the north side of the parking lot, between the boat ramps. Come in the park entrance by the Dog Park & Soccer Field.
