KLRB has installed a new trash boom in Rock Creek to collect and amass floating litter. We need volunteers to help us remove the litter.

The boom is located in the north end of Boyle Park on Boyle Park Road, just upstream from the pedestrian bridge. There is a gate and large open area. Park inside the gate and come to the blue KLRB tent.

Hip boots, knee boots or waders will be needed for those cleaning the trash boom in the water.  Regular boots will be helpful for those picking up all of the litter along the banks of the creek.  Limb loppers and small hand saws for cutting small tree limbs & shrubs will be needed for those helping to clear all of the overgrowth along both sides of the creek bank.
